Announcing the launch of an exciting new music event for Mid Sussex – Jazz & Soul on Broadway. Enjoy the delicious sounds of cool Jazz and sultry sounds of smooth Soul from a whole galaxy of performers who will be on stage in the Broadway on Sunday 24 May, 2009 11.00am until 10.00pm. The sensational success of the event Making Waves on Broadway has led It’s Magic with the support of the Broadway traders to organise another magical event held on The Broadway, Haywards Heath RH16 3AS.
The bands appearing offer enough variety to please all tastes. The deep down earthy tones, melody and rhythm will ooze from the Jazz bands covering traditional, smooth, fusion, modern and cool Jazz. The various Soul bands will be delivering performances from the heart, with a real depth of feeling ranging from contemporary, disco, boogie through to modern.
Things may be tough but life doesn’t have to come to a standstill. The ambience of the event will give visitors a chance to relax and enjoy a day with friends and family whilst non-stop music from 12 outstanding Jazz & Soul bands will be performing great music from two stages back to back from 11am until 10pm. We aim for good vibes and a happy feeling.
Roll up then, shake off those winter blues and swing out.
The Broadway area is closed to traffic for this unique event creating an outstanding street party atmosphere with additional seating areas spilling out into the road from the cafes, bars and restaurants. Variety of food and beverages is on sale all day.
