REVIEW:
Tim French & It's Magic Christmas Concert was a festive feast of Christmas warmth. The audience enjoyed a relaxed concert with balanced vocal and musical clarity from The Sussex Symphony Orchestra, choirs and stunning international musicians and vocalists.
Jake Sutherland-Rowe sang the 1st verse of 'Once in Royal David's City' and later a beautiful rendition of 'Walking in the air'.
Jo Appleby looked stunningly beautiful and floated onto the set in red. Andrew Rees looked dashing and the pair sang together beautifully for duets including 'A perfect Year', 'Joy to the World', 'Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas' and 'Winter Wonderland'.
An international success, Diana Galvydyte, is a prize winner of 15 International competitions and recently has been awarded a special commendation by the president of Lithuania for recognition of her efforts in promoting her homeland throughout the world. Diana truly proved to be in a league of her own, and had the ability to amaze the audience with a seemingly effortless Tchaikowsky violin concerto. This was thoroughly enjoyed by the audience and one person was heard to comment ' she made the violin sing'. (Diana will be returning to Victoria Park, Haywards Heath next summer July 5th, as a soloist at Katherine Jenkins in concert, subscribe FREE on
www.itsmagic.org.uk for early ticket release information)The conductor, Mark Andrew James and Tenor, Andrew Rees, also read comical extracts adding their own flavour of quality entertainment for an appreciative audience.
This concert was a fitting introduction to the goodwill of the festive season, with raffle funds raised to support the Princess Royal Hospital Campaign to save the maternity unit, everyone went away in good spirits full of music and festive song.
Tim and It’s Magic would like to wish concert goers and supporters a Merry Christmas and a happy new year.
